Pizza, ice cream and craft beer – sounds like a party in Eagle Rock

EAGLE ROCK – Ice cream, booze and wood-fired pizza: Piencone Pizzeria, Creamery, and Pub sounds like it could be a grown-up, high-quality Chuck E Cheese’s. With a bar.

Eater LA says that’s replacing the former Coffee Table cafe, which closed its Colorado Boulevard space after about 20 years.

Piencone (pie-‘n’-cone – get it?) is partly owned by Corey and Michelle Wilton, along with a partner, Herb Gualpa. The Wiltons are involved in other Colorado Boulevard restaurants, including Four Cafe  and another restaurant, Ember & Peel, which LA Eater says is also rumored to be a wood-fired restaurant.

No word on Piencone’s grand opening. Piencone Pizzaria, Creamery, and Pub will be located in the 1900 block of Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock.

  1. Because the neighborhood needs more pizza…

    • Maybe the point is to get better pizza in the neighborhood! Yes, Casa Bianca, is well known, but I think it is just average. The other pizza places that have come and gone or stayed, Brownstone, Big Mama & Papa, are also average. It shocks me that The Capri is still open, maybe the worst pizza and Italian food I’ve ever had!

    • Is there such a thing as “too much pizza?”
