Doctor claims she was sexually assaulted at L.A. County-USC hospital; debate over Roosevelt High demo & renovation plans; 101 closure in Boyle Heights

Assault: A doctor at L.A. County-USC Medical Center in Lincoln Heights said she was sexually assaulted by another doctor at the hospital in 2015. Dr. Guillermo A. Cortes has denied he assaulted  Dr. Meena Zareh in a  doctors call room, and the District Attorney has so far declined to file charges because of a lack of evidence. But a civil lawsuit  has been filed over the matter and L.A. County Sheriff Department investigators say the case remains open and are looking for other potential victims.   L.A. Times

Closures: Caltrans is warning motorists that the northbound 101 Freeway in Boyle Heights will be shut down and some southbound lanes will also be closed for several nights next week as part of the Sixth Street Bridge construction project. Caltrans
