School shooting victim recovering with bullet lodged in his skull; Cal State L.A. teams up with Latino dance company

Shooting Victim: The 12-year-old student who was shot in a classroom at Sal Castro Middle School just south of Echo Park is a refugee whose father was killed in Iraq, his former teacher told CBS2. Issa Al-Bayati is back home now but a bullet is still lodged in his head and he has trouble with his vision and moving his legs. Al-Bayati was wounded when a gun contained in a fellow student’s backpack went off accidentally. CBS 2
