Freeway chase ends in East L.A; man sets himself on fire; Elysian Park homeless encampment cleanup

Chase: The pursuit of a driver that began in Ontario Thursday night ended on the 60 Freeway at Third Street in East L.A. when the man emerged from the vehicle with his hands up and was arrested by officers. KTLA

Burn Victim: A man suffered burn injuries after he splashed himself with gasoline then set himself on fire near Hicks Avenue and Olympic Boulevard in East Los Angeles late Thursday afternoon. His condition was not known. My News LA

Encampment Cleanup: A large crew of  workers was seen removing a large homeless encampment this morning near Academy Road, according to an Eastsider reader. The encampment had been there for about three years, she said.

Echo Park Crash:  A Prius ended up on its side and on the sidewalk after colliding with another vehicle on Echo Park Avenue near Bellevue Avenue at about 4:30 pm on Thursday, according to Michael Glotzer. There were no reports of injury or determination of what caused the collision.
