Wreck on the 2 Freeway in Glassell Park leaves 5 injured; two in critical condition [updated]

GLASSELL PARK The CHP is responding to a multi-car crash on the southbound 2 Freeway at San Fernando Road this afternoon.

The wreck was initially reported at about 3 pm.

One Eastsider reader reported that he had been stuck in traffic for 30 minutes without moving.

Update @ 5:21 pm:  The most recent information from the LAFD says five people riding in the same vehicle were injured. Three persons — an 81-year-old male, a 53-year-old female and an 18-year-old female — were in critical condition. The two other persons — a  53-year-old male and a 52-year-old male — were in serious condition.

The L.A . Fire Department  reports that the crash lef two persons in critical condition and a third is in serious condition
