Silver Lake — The LAPD today asked the public for help to find one of the suspects who tied up and robbed a man in his Silver Lake residence last April.
The suspect — a black male 25 to 28 years of age, standing between 5 feet 5 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing between 120 to 160 pounds — was one of four suspects involved in the April 25 robbery in the 2700 block of Riverside Drive, the LAPD said in an announcement.
The suspects attempted to use the victim’s ATM card at several local store locations after the robbery. The three other suspects have been apprehended.
The circumstances described in today’s announcement appear similar to what was described as the home-invasion robbery of a ride-share driver.
Police in April said that the victim who was pistol whipped and robbed in his apartment may have been set up by a woman he had invited over to his place.
Anyone with information or can identify the suspect is asked to call LAPD Northeast Robbery Detective Franco at (323) 561-3472 or by calling 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247) during evening or weekend hours. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call the LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
Update: Detective Franoc confirmed that this suspect was involved in the April home invasion robbery.
