Montecito Heights —  Tagging was painted over and bags of trash, mattresses and auto parts were hauled away today as part of a community cleanup sponsored by the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council and the Montecito Heights Improvement Association.

The cleanup included the pedestrian bridge over the Arroyo Seco Parkway, park benches in Debs Park and the areas along Griffin Avenue and a helipad where water-dropping helicopters fill up, said Martha Benedict, who took photos of the cleanup.
