Police searching for stolen vehicle suspect in Echo Park area [updated]

Police have sealed off some streets in Angeleno Heights next to Echo Park tonight as they search for a stolen vehicle suspect, according an LAPD spokesman.

The search began after the pursuit of a stolen vehicle that began in the LAPD Central Division, which includes Downtown, ended on or near Bellevue Avenue, said an LAPD spokesman.

He had no further information about the incident.

A helicopter has been hovering the area since about 9 pm as officers conduct their search.

Update on Wednesday, Aug. 1: The watch commander at the LAPD Rampart Division said one suspect was caught and apprehended but had no further details.

That is not how it went hi the guy they arrested was my older brother Rafael well from what ive seen that night was he was driving that vehicle around the samr area and they stopped him cause he also had no back lights and he was stopped by Douglas and sunset …..dam but sucks he has to do his time
