Weekend power outages on the decline; Lincoln Heights motorist shot in the neck; Boyle Heights nature park in the works

Outages: LADWP crews were able to restore power to thousands of residents overnight who had lost electrical service during record-high heat and demand for electricity, according to an agency update. As of 9 a.m., less than 8,000 customers were without power, including:

  • Boyle Heights – 165
  • Cypress Park – 105
  • Eagle Rock – 132
  • East Hollywood – 1,018
  • Echo Park – 45
  • El Sereno – 49
  • Glassell Park – 3
  • Lincoln Heights – 98
  • Los Feliz – 25
  • Silver Lake – 135
