East L.A. gang-related shooting leaves man dead on E. 4th Street

Man shot and killed on E. 4th Street in East Los Angeles


East Los Angeles  —  The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting death of a man early Monday morning.

The shooting happened at about 1:50 a.m. on the 3800 block of 4th Street, according a statement released by the sheriff’s department.

Local residents heard gunshots and discovered the victim, a Latino male 20-  to 30-years-old, on the sidewalk with numerous gunshot wounds. The victim later died at the scene.

At this time, investigators do not have a description of the suspect and a weapon has not yet been recovered. The shooting is believed to be gang related.
