Man and woman shot on York Boulevard in Highland Park

Shooting on York Boulevard and Avenue 50

Highland Park  —  A man and woman were injured on Saturday night after being shot at from a passing vehicle while they stood  outside a York Boulevard bar, police said.

The victims were in stable condition after being taken in a private vehicle to a hospital for treatment, said LAPD spokesman Mike Lopez.

The shooting was reported at about 11:15 pm near York Boulevard and Avenue 50. The occupants from a passing vehicle yelled out gang affiliations before firing multiple shots and then drove away, said Lopez.

No further details were available from police.

KTLA reports that the windows at Johnny’s Bar were shot out.

A drive-by shooting about 30 minutes earlier in Atwater Village left one man dead.

  3. hmm. well its just another day in ‘the park’. still live in same house, same street since 1982. nothing’s changed. just new people and new paint. shootings will always occur in Highland park. just wait for the earthquakes, again.. just another day in ‘the park.’ 🙄
