5 Thanksgiving events that don’t involve turkey, stuffing or football

Thanksgiving is almost here! As much as we love the meal, family and football, there are many other ways to also enjoy the holiday. Below are a variety of events to celebrate the day of thanks.

Come help feed the homeless at The Echo

Volunteers are needed at Gobble Gobble Give, a non-profit organization dedicated to feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving. There are many, many ways you can help — you can be a driver, a team leader, or a donation solicitor. If you can’t attend you can always donate! Details

Thanksgiving DJ Party in Frogtown

Kick-off the holiday with some fun before the family time on Wednesday, November 21. It’s also free, so you have more to spend on drinks. Doors open at 8 p.m. and show starts at 9. Details

Giving Thanks Benefit in Los Feliz

On Sunday, November 25, Rockwell Table & Stage presents “Giving Thanks 2018,” a benefit for Project Angel Food. Clifford Bell and Steve Masterson will host the event featuring Mary Bogue, Ron Butler, Charlo Crossley and many others. Doors open at 6 p.m. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Details

Run off that Thanksgiving Feast in Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock Brewery is hosting a ‘Beer Run Brunch!’ event on Sunday, November 25. Those 21 and over are invited to join in on their first monthly Eagle Rock Brewery to Eagle Rock Public House run. The 3.5-mile run/jog/walk (you decide!) meets at 9 a.m. with a pre-run hydration beer and concludes with brunch at the final stop. Details

Thanksgiving Day flow yoga class

Feel less guilty about the turkey feast and dive into those gratitude vibes with yoga. There are two classes offered on Thanksgiving Day for only ten dollars at the Los Feliz studio. Details
