Firefighters took about half an hour to knock down a hillside brush fire that burned about an acre on the western edge of Elysian Park.

The fire began at about 4:30 pm near Park Drive and burned uphill, said the fire department. The fire was extinguished without any reports of structure damage or injuries.

An arson unit was deployed to the scene but the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, said LAFD.
