Highland Park  —  A woman was being treated by the L.A. Fire Department this morning following the collision of a Gold Line train and vehicle near Avenue 61 and Figueroa Street, according to authorities.

The condition of the woman was not known, according to an LAFD Alert.

A Metro Rider Alert advised Gold Line passengers of a 10 minute delay as trains share the eastbound track in Highland Park.

Photos of the aftermath of the collision, which was reported at about 9 a.m., posted on Twitter showed a heavily damaged red car with its front end nearly ripped away.
