Elysian Heights —  The steep hills and canyons of Elysian Heights have along attracted artists of all kinds over the decades. Now, the same leafy neighborhood on the north end of Echo Park has attracted singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey.

Variety reveals that Del Rey was the buyer of a 2-bedroom, cabin-style home on Avon Street that sold earlier this month for $1.178 million or $183,000 over the asking price.

The seller was Leanne Ford, star of HGTV’s “Restored by the Fords,” who sold the house for $378,000 more than what she paid for only two years ago.  The 1911 home was once owned by silent film actress Clara Kimball Young, who had her own production company, reports Curbed. Ford, in one of her signature designer touches, coated the interior in white paint.

Del Rey won’t be the only celebrity homeowner in this part of Elysian Heights.  The property is on the same block where Emily Ratajkowski — the model and actress –purchased a $2 million home earlier this year, according to  Yolanda’s Little Black Book.

It’s not clear if Del Rey will be spotted anytime soon at neighborhood coffee houses or walking the trails of Elysian Park. She owns several and much larger homes across L.A., said Variety.
