Police car crashes at Cesar Chavez and Bridge


Boyle Heights  —  Two on-duty officers were injured this morning when their SUV hit two parked cars near Cesar Chavez Avenue and Bridge Street.

LAPD spokesperson Drake Madison said the officers were not involved in a pursuit when they crashed, and the incident is under investigation. No other cars were involved in the crash, which took place at about 5 a.m.

The officers were transported to a hospital and are in stable condition, Madison said.
