Eastside Weekend: Disney Girlz Rock Nite; Second Saturday Gallery Night & Blake Anderson in Silver Lake

Love Session: the Mardi Gras Edition at Los Globos: Celebrate Mardi Gras in Silver Lake with some downhome house music spun by DJs Wayne Williams and Tony Powell, who stay true to the genre’s soulful roots by bringing you tracks straight out of the southside of Chicago. Gangster Doodles Art show at Rappcats: Check out work by artist Gangster Doodles, best known for his drawings of hip-hop artists on post-it notes, at this Highland Park show. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Details

Disney Girlz Rock Nite at the Echoplex: Club 90s and Y2K are dedicating a night to your favorite throwback Disney gals like Hannah Montana, Lizzie Mcguire and Cheetah Girls. $10 – hairbrush microphone not included. 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Details


Beer Brewing Masterclass at the Craft Beer Cellar: Take this 4-hour immersive homebrewing class in Eagle Rock if you want to learn how to make beer while sampling beers along the way. Butt Kapinski’s Mr. Big Silverlake Drag King Competition: Watch the graduates of Butt Kapinsky’s Drag King Comedy workshop as they vie for the title of Mr. Big Silverlake. $8. 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Details

A Night of Comedy with Blake Anderson at the Satellite: Actor, comedian and Workaholic’s co-creator and star Blake Anderson will be hosting a night of stand-up comedy in Silver Lake. $8. 8 p.m. Details

Foodies and Boobies Burlesque Brunch at El Cid: This brunch provides the good eats, drinks and entertainment you need to round out your weekend. $20-$200. 12 p.m. Details

Friendship Buddies Stand-Up Comedy at the Verdugo Bar. This week’s edition of the Glassell Park show features Blair Socci, The Puterbaugh Sisters, Jono Zalay, Renee Gauthier, TK Kelly, Katie Vallely and Blake Wexler. Details
