We have the details on a late-night Halloween Happy Hour, a “lazy egg” takeover of the Highland Park Bowl and the opening of a fancy new Los Feliz restaurant.

Tsubaki in Echo Park is celebrating the World Series with a pre-game party. Expect a variety of yakitori, or charcoal-grilled jidori chicken skewers, chicken katsu sando, beer, sake, and more. Baseball fans can also pick up Tsubaki’s chicken katsu sando with fries to-go on the way to Dodger Stadium for $15. Doors open early from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tsubkai is at 1356 Allison Ave. in Echo Park.
Echo Park sandwich shop Trencher also has a World Series deal on game days: 20% off The Pulled “Puig” Pork and Dodgers Ball Club sandwiches or a free Trencher Taco if the Dodgers score a triple in the THIRD inning and you mention this promo. Trencher is at 1305 Portia St.
It’s the Day of the Witches, or Dia de las Brujas, at Spanish spot Otoño on Halloween night. Festive cocktails and tapas specials are what’s happening during a late-night happy hour. Cocktails include Las Brujas “The Witches” Rum Punch and the Horchata Flip. Dishes include Black Tempered Squid and Jamon Hanburgesas. The festivities happen from 10 p.m. to closing. Otoño is at 5715 N. Figueroa Blvd in Highland Park.
Sanrio’s lazy egg character Gudetama will be taking over over the Highland Park Bowl for a few months. The marketing campaign introduces the latest addition to the makers of the beloved Hello Kitty brand. Expect the lazy egg to be showcased everywhere – the lanes, pizzas, meals and cocktails. Added to the mix is Gudetama merchandise such as a $200 bowling ball and a “vintage-inspired” crying towel. Gudetama residency at Highland Park Bowl happens now until February 2019. Highland Park Bowl is at 5621 N. Figueroa St. in Highland Park.
Atrium has landed in Los Feliz. Beau Laughlin and Jay Milliken of Silver Lake’s Kettle Black, Sawyer and Scout head the operation. Enjoy a menu of locally sourced meat and vegetables that reflect Los Angeles’ distinct cultural tapestry, an adventurous dessert menu, broad wine list and cocktails focused on rare spirits in a majestic 3,200 square foot space. Atrium is at 1816 ½ N. Vermont Ave. in Los Feliz.
