Tis the time for holiday parades, parties and more! Below are a few Christmas-inspired celebrations to kick-off the 2018 holiday season. Bonus: Many opportunities to see Santa!

Boyle Heights Winter Wonderland

On Saturday, December 1 the Boyle Heights City Hall will be transformed into a winter wonderland. The event presented by the city of Los Angeles will start at 3 p.m. and conclude at 6. There will be arts and crafts, a photo op with Santa and best of all a ride through real snow! Details

East LA Christmas Parade

The annual Christmas parade is back along Whittier Blvd (Between Eastern Ave. and Goodrich Blvd.). On Sunday, December 2 don’t miss celebrity guests, elaborate floats, marching bands and folklorico groups walk through the heart of East LA. The parade starts at 12 p.m. A festival with food, prizes and music starts at 10:30 a.m. Details

74th Annual NELA Holiday Parade

On Sunday, December 2 the Northeast Los Angeles Holiday Parade comes to Highland Park. The parade starts at 1 p.m. and showcases local marching bands, boys and girl scouts, doggie troops and much more. The route is along Figueroa Street from Avenue 60 to Sycamore Grove Park. Details

Echo Park Community Parade

Come see classic cars, festive floats, and Santa Claus at the 2018 Echo Park Community Parade along Sunset Blvd (Vin Scully Ave. to Park Ave.). This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Cultural Diversity of Echo Park.” The event starts at 11 a.m. Details

Las Posadas Celebration in East LA

The East Los Angeles Library presents a posada walk and post celebration with food, refreshments, music and Santa. The event honors the journey that Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem  The event is on Tuesday, December 11 and starts at 6 p.m. Details
