Our first program for kids and their parents! Join us on a series of local bird walks with Biocitizen guide and birding entrepreneur Benny Jacobs-Schwartz to learn about local Los Angeles ecology as we count and admire as many of our favorite native bird species as we can. These walks are geared for the whole family and are a mix of fun and educational. 

Light hiking & learn how to:

>Use binoculars

>Spot and identify some of our local birds

>Dive into ecological topics topics like bird language, migration, native plants and birds

$15 per person. Our walks include:

>Wildlife spotting scope

>eList of all birds seen on walk

2/8 Meeting Location:Bette Davis Park, 1515 Rancho Ave. Glendale

Physical Difficulty: EASY – walking on flat terrain with small hilly sections

2/22 Meeting Location: Shane’s Inspiration Park, 4800 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles

Physical Difficulty: MODERATE – approximately 2 miles round-trip to an amazing overlook of the San Fernando Valley
