Eighty percent of Americans die in hospitals and nursing homes. They endure aggressive and often futile medical treatment. Too often they die alone, without family and friends.

Her book will help families talk honestly and plan ahead, thus avoiding unnecessary pain and suffering for their loved ones, and for themselves.
