Silver Lake liquor store serves as the stage for a dark comedy


SILVER LAKE -- Bogie's is like countless other neighborhood liquor stores across L.A. Its windows are plastered with posters and the shelves and coolers are stocked with the typical combination of Diet Coke, Monster drinks and cases of beer and wine. ECHO PARK -- One of Echo Park's last discount stores - E'pack Family Clothing - closed a few weeks ago, with restaurateur Gareth Kantner having previously announced plans to open a new restaurant in the space.
