Free admission Tuesdays at The Autry

Bring your family to The Autry on Tuesday, November 13 when admission is waived. There are several exhibitions to check out, like “On Fire: Transcendent Landscapes by Michael Scott,” “Rick Barrow: Things You Know But Can’t Explain” and “LA RAZA.” Admission is free every second Tuesday of the month. LA Queer Reading Series in Highland Park

The Influx Collective presents its inaugural night of poetry and intimacy with queer writers on November 17 at 8.p.m. It features Cori Bratby-Rudd, Evan Kleepkamp, Hannah Rubin and SA Smythe.  Details

Brazilian singer Kassin of the +2’s plays Elysian Valley

Kassin, best known for being part of the Rio de Janerio-based band +2’s, is coming to Frogtown on Tuesday, November 13. His samba-inspired music has been described as “fun, creative and unique,” by Billboard. Joining him that night is LA-based singer-songwriter Mia Doi Todd.  Details

Mark Fisher book launch in Echo Park

On November 13, don’t miss a discussion of the new book “K-Punk: The Collected and Unpublished Writings of Mark Fisher.” Fisher was a British writer and cultural theorist known for blogging as K-Punk in the early 2000s. Named “The best cultural studies writer of his generation,” by the Los Angeles Review of Books. The event starts at 8 p.m.  Details
