Bug Wuller, who lives nearby, said despite signs warning “Long Wheelbase Vehicles Not Recommended,” the Plycar truck tried to make a left turn up Cerro Gordo from Echo Park at about 8 pm. Here’s what happened next:
“The front of the trailer bottomed out. With help from a coworker or bystander, the driver then had to execute some sort of 81-point-turn to get re-oriented to southbound EP Ave., scraping up the truck (and the asphalt) several more times along the way. He did pretty well—he got out of it in under 20 mins and without a tow, though I’m not sure about damage.”
