Boyle Heights - A review of nearly a decade of crime stats revealed that no other neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles has reported more vehicles stolen than Boyle Heights.

It's been a little more than a century when Craftsman-style homes were all the rage in LA. The Eastside was no exception.Despite decades of demolitions, there are numerous examples of homes and small apartment buildings constructed in the style. We found three examples currently on the market, ranging from a Cypress Park fixer-Upper to a restored classic bungalow in Eagle Rock.

Boyle Heights - The wavy, concrete arches that rise above the 6th Street Bridge are destined to become landmarks once the span is finished. But what will be constructed underneath the bridge will also be notable, and unexpected: a park.

Gardeners seem to thrive on the Eastside of Los Angeles, at least judging from the L.A. Times. Working with a Boyle Heights nonprofit called Las Fotos Project, the Times commissioned nine high school students for pictures and profiles of plant people.

Boyle Heights -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Tuesday night near the junction of the 101 and 10 freeways, according to the CHP.
