LINCOLN HEIGHTS --  A brush and grass fire scorched about two hillside acres early this morning before being extinguished, according to the L.A. Fire Department.

The blaze was reported shortly after 3 am in the 3000 block of Eva Terrace and took about 45 minutes to contain, said the LAFD.  There were no reports of injuries.

There's no word on what caused the fire.
