Boyle Heights  —  Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man injured early this morning.

Police and paramedics responded to the 700 block of South Soto Street after receiving a call about a shooting, said Sgt. Ernesto De Alba with the LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division.

Police arrived at the scene at about 2:30 a.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, who was shot while walking down Soto Street, was transported to a hospital, De Alba said. His condition is unknown.

The suspect or suspects remain at large. A suspect description and the details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
