Gang members arrested in Eagle Rock killing

Police today said they have arrested two gang members in connection with the fatal Veterans’ Day stabbing of 19-year-old Andrew Michael Stittiams.

Prosecutors today filed one count of murder against each defendant, according to a post on the Northeast Division Facebook page.  Both suspects were described as gang members from the Highland Park area who were arrested on Nov. 13,  three days after Stittiams  and another person were walking on  Figueroa Street  near Yosemite Drive  when two males drove up in a car and “questioned their gang affiliation,” according to police.  One of the suspects then emerged from the vehicle and stabbed Stittiams numerous times.

No further details were available about the suspects.
