El Sereno — A man is in stable condition after being shot multiple times while urinating in public early this morning, police said.
Officers responded to the 4800 block of Huntington Drive at about 1 a.m. after receiving multiple calls of a shooting, said Sgt. Kevin Moore with the LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division. Upon arrival, the officers found a 50-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim is a self-described gang member who said he was shot by two Latinos while urinating in front of a restaurant, said Moore. He was transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries and is now in stable condition.
No further details were available about the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
Monday night’s shooting took place about two weeks after another man was wounded during a drive-by shooting outside a fast-food restaurant in the 4900 block of Huntington Drive.
