Boyle Heights   —  Firefighters extinguished a blaze last night on the second floor of a two-story apartment building in the 400 block of S. Boyle Avenue, according to a statement released by the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived around midnight to put out the fire before it extended into the attic. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage is to be determined.
