Dead woman found after El Sereno house fire

EL SERENO — Firefighters responding to a house fire this morning found the bodies of a woman and a dog inside the structure, according to the L.A. Fire Department.

Firefighters quickly entered the one-story home in the 5300 block of E. Bohlig Road, where the fire was reported at about 7:30 am. The fire was extinguished in 16 minutes, the LAFD said on Twitter.

No additional information was available on the woman, according to LAFD spokeswoman Amy Bastman. The cause of death and fire have yet to be determined.
