Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that broke out this morning in an apartment on the top of a three-story building near Sunset Boulevard and Boylston Street.

An estimated 73 firefighters took 16 minutes to knock down the fire that was reported at 10:26 a.m., according to the L.A. Fire Department. No injuries were reported. Three dogs “were located and brought out alive” the LAFD posted on Twitter.

An Eastsider reader said the fire was located on Boylston just south of Sunset. “Over a dozen fire trucks, ambulance and police cars are blocking Sunset and Boylston as they take care of the situation.”
