Silver Lake sinkhole swallows LADWP truck

SILVER LAKE – The back end of an LADWP truck got stuck in a sinkhole on Robinson Street this morning following the rupture of a six-inch water main, according to NBC LA.

The DWP vehicle was towed out of the sinkhole by 6:30 a.m. but water service to about 40 homes won’t be fully restored until about 2 p.m. LADWP says Robinson will remain closed between Marathon and Descanso streets while repairs are made.
