On Tuesday O'Farrell introduced a resolution that would enforce the city's new anti-camping ordinance within 500 feet of 17 locations -- from Echo Park and Silver Lake underpasses as well as Barnsdall Art Park -- in Council  District 13. O'Farrell acted on the same day the City Council adopted procedures as to how the city will enforce the ban on encampments and sleeping on sidewalks and other public places

Echo Park - Echo Park Lake reopened to the public this afternoon, two months after the park was closed following the relocation of about 200 homeless people who had taken up residence there, and anger over their removal continued to boil over.

Echo Park -  Officials today said that Echo Park Lake will reopen on May 26, about two months after it was closed following the removal of a large, homeless encampment that had spread across the park.
