Echo Park -- Echo Park Lake was reopened this week after a two-month closure. But the chain-link fence that has encircled the park since the end of March has remained.

The park has existed for 120+ years without a fence and doesn't need one now. A fence is a terrible idea. I am a 30 year resident and in that time the park has had ups and downs but survived the downs without a fence.
There should be no fence.
It's not a campground it's a park for family's ,adults,kids to enjoy not too be scared to enjoy a walk or just to sit in the park keep it fenced so they know the city means business
